About Ingrida
Ingrida Svedunova-Yordanova is a certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor, professional ballet dancer, and movement educator with over 20 years of dance experience, including more than 12 years performing professionally. Fluent in English, Russian, and Lithuanian, she combines the artistry of classical ballet with a science-based understanding of human movement to help people move with greater strength, confidence, and ease.
Ingrida began studying ballet at the age of four and, at eleven, was accepted into the prestigious M. K. Čiurlionis National School of Arts in Lithuania. After graduating as a professional ballet dancer in 2012, she joined the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre, where she performed in renowned productions including Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Giselle, La Bayadère, Sleeping Beauty, Coppélia, Carmen, and many others.
Throughout her performing career, Ingrida has danced across Europe and Asia, appearing in Germany, China, Spain, Italy, and Poland while working with internationally respected choreographers and teachers from the USA, France, Russia, the UK, Norway, Poland, and Israel.
Following an injury, Ingrida discovered a new passion for teaching. She moved to Ireland in 2015, where she taught ballet and contemporary dance while furthering her education in dance pedagogy. She studied Dance Teaching at Inchicore College in Dublin, with a strong focus on anatomy, physiology, psychology, and human development, and earned the ISTD Diploma in Dance Instruction (DDI) in Modern Theatre Dance.
Her commitment to continuous learning has taken her to international training opportunities, including a scholarship to the renowned ImPulsTanz International Dance Festival in Vienna and advanced teacher training through the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet.
Since relocating to the Algarve in 2018, Ingrida has built a welcoming community through private coaching and adult ballet classes. She has also served as a jury member and masterclass teacher at the Grand Jeté International Dance Awards, mentoring young dancers from around the world.
Ingrida's passion for healthy movement naturally led her to Pilates. She completed extensive STOTT PILATES® training, including Matwork and Reformer, and became a fully certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor after successfully passing her anatomy, practical, and teaching examinations.
Today, Ingrida's teaching philosophy blends the precision of ballet with evidence-based movement education. Every class is designed to improve posture, mobility, strength, balance, and body awareness in a safe and supportive environment. Whether you are completely new to exercise, returning after an injury, or looking to enhance your performance, she tailors her approach to help you move better—not just during class, but in everyday life.
Her mission is simple: to help every client build a stronger body, greater confidence, and a lifelong enjoyment of movement. She believes it is never too late to begin, and that ballet and Pilates are for everyone—not just professional dancers.
